Rev. Curtis Preston began his ministry at Lakewood UCC in August 2008. Curt had previously served for 5 years as the Associate Pastor at the First Church of Christ, UCC, in Longmeadow, Massachusetts, and as a Pastoral Intern at Rock Spring Congregational Church in Arlington, Virginia. He received a BA from Pacific University in Forest Grove, Oregon, and a Master of Divinity from the Pacific School of Religion in Berkeley, California. He was ordained by the Metro Denver Association of the Rocky Mountain Conference UCC in July 2003. Curt is originally from Centennial, Colorado, and both he and his wife, Danielle, have deep roots in the greater Denver area. They have three daughters: Lucy (born 2002), Campbell (born 2004), and Juliet (born 2009). Together with his family, Curt enjoys cooking, writing, playing guitar, camping, politics, pop culture, recreational athletics, and film. |
Rev. Mollie Landers Hatt was thrilled to be called as the Associate Pastor of Lakewood UCC in January 2018. She first felt a call to ministry while serving on summer staff at a UCC camp in Pennsylvania. Mollie brings a passion for outdoor ministries, seeking justice alongside one another, as well as youth and intergenerational ministries. Prior to answering the call to serve at Lakewood UCC, Mollie served as a Bridge Pastor in two Rocky Mountain Conference churches, the Director of Outdoor Ministries for the New Hampshire Conference of the United Church of Christ, and the Associate Director of Outdoor Ministries for the Maine and New Hampshire Conferences, UCC. A graduate of Catawba College, Wesley Theological Seminary, and Andover Newton Theological School, Mollie was ordained in 2012. Mollie lives in Denver with her husband Andrew, two young kids, and two brindle dogs. Mollie loves swimming, hiking, camping, canoeing, and outdoor concerts. |
