Sunday, June 10, 10:15 am
There are many stories of people being called by God in the Bible. We think of people like Isaiah, Jonah, and Moses at the burning bush. This Sunday we hear the story of the call of Samuel. We are told that “the word of the Lord was rare in those days; visions were not widespread.” And yet God’s call came not to a king or prince, not to a person of means or someone with persuasive powers, but to a young boy. Why would God pick Samuel to be a messenger of hope? Surely there must have been someone better or more qualified. Join us this Sunday as Pastor Curt preaches on God’s knack for using the gifts that most people overlook.
