“Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all the earth. Worship the Lord with gladness; come into God’s presence with singing.”
Psalm 100:1-2
Worshiping Online & In-Person!
Here at Lakewood UCC, we believe that worship is at the very center of our life together. Whether in person or online, we are the living, breathing, Body of Christ. Our worship services offer a mixture of traditional and progressive elements. Our sermons seek to connect the wisdom of our scriptures with the real-life issues of today. We offer a variety of types of music because we know that no one style of music is sufficient for praising God. Every week we gather the prayers of the community and reflect on the ways we see God at work in the world. We hope that all who join us for worship experience the power and presence of the Spirit and a connection to the wider community.

Love Creates Beauty
John 12:1-8
As we continue on our Lenten journey, we hear from the Gospel of John this week. When Mary pours out anointing oil on Jesus, her friend and savior, the one who raised her brother Lazarus from the dead, she is chastised by Judas, yet lifted up by Jesus for the same act. The tension of how money should be spent and what is worthy of funding is always relevant, especially in these days. Join us on Sunday as we ponder together – how can you put a price on creating beauty & art? How do we value parts of the world and creation that have no “use” but inherently add goodness and delight to our lives? How is creating beauty part of living out our faith? Rev. Mollie will be preaching, and we’ll hear the Good News that God’s love creates beauty in this world and our lives.
