YAC is going to be participating in Denver Urban Matters’ annual Food For All event on Nov. 20th. They will gather with other youth groups from around the Denver area to put together complete Thanksgiving meal boxes for families in need. In preparation for the event, we need food! So, I’d like to call on the beautiful people of Lakewood UCC to donate the following items:

• box dry stuffing
• can or mix gravy
• canned corn
• canned green beans
• crunchy fried onions
• canned cream of mushroom soup
• canned fruit cocktail
• box Jell-O
• box or can of sweet potatoes
• can of cranberries
• box, can or mix of pie filling
• pie crust (non-perishable please)
• $10 gift card to a local grocery store
• Cash or Check donation made out to “DenUM”

There will be a huge storage bucket in the welcome area at LUCC for these donations as well as a flyer with information about what items are needed. Please bring these items any time up until worship on November 20th. Cash donations are of course quite welcome and can be given either as a check to the church with “DenUM” in the memo line or in a white offering envelope from the pews with “DenUM” written on the outside.
