“Then Jesus was led by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted…” from Matthew 4:1-11
This is the first Sunday in the season of Lent. In Sunday’s scripture lesson, Jesus is driven out into the desert by the Holy Spirit. There he encounters temptation. As we enter the season of Lent it is a good time to ask questions about what temptations we face, what sin is (and isn’t), and how we might use this time to reorient our lives to God.
