“When Jesus saw her weeping, and the Jews who had come along with her also weeping, he was deeply moved in spirit …” from John 11:1-3, 32-45
We cry for many reasons. We cry because we are happy. We cry out of anger, frustration, or sorrow. We weep in relief or as release. In Sunday’s reading, we see Jesus cry at the loss of his friend Lazarus. But the story doesn’t stop there. This Sunday Pastor Curt preaches on the raising of Lazarus and what it has to do with us and with our own needs to be unbound, freed, and released.
