On behalf of the staff and leadership of Lakewood UCC, you are invited to attend a very brief Congregational Meeting on Sunday, July 11 via Zoom to vote on a request from Church Operations that was missed at our Annual Meeting in June.  Below is the proposal.  Please review it and join the Zoom meeting after the 9:00am service on July 11 to discuss and vote on this proposal.  Thank you very much for your commitment to the life and ministry of Lakewood UCC. Proposal: The Board of Church Operations is requesting that the Congregation approve the transfer of the remaining funds from the Ministry Campaign Fund ($13,911) to a new capital improvement fund.  Our congregation raised the funds for the Ministry Campaign Fund with two goals in mind:  paying off the Church mortgage and hiring an assistant pastor.  Both goals were met and there is a balance remaining in the account.   The Board of Church Operations would like to reallocate the $13,911 remainder to a Capital Improvement Fund for future building projects and requests authorization for the Board of Church Operations to have the authority to make decisions regarding the spending of these funds on Church building projects.   Thank you for your consideration.  We look forward to gathering together to discuss the generosity and joy of excess funds on July 11!
