In the Congregational tradition everyone is empowered to offer prayer, preach, and speak the Word. The Board of Congregational Care is seeking liturgists to offer the Opening Prayer and the Prayer of Dedication during worship. The Opening Prayer invites the congregation into a stance of spiritual opening by highlighting themes that are echoed in the service. The Prayer of Dedication acknowledge God’s gifts and is a blessing of our gifts in the service of the Divine plan for Love and justice. If you are interested in learning more about becoming a liturgist or you are ready to be a liturgist, the Board of Congregational Care is hosting a training-information session on March 16th, 12:00-1:00 at Lakewood UCC. For more information, please contact Paul Michalec at paul.michalec@du.edu By attending this meeting there is no obligation to become a liturgist.
